I like that, it feels very freeing. My kids’ grandma told me once when I was minimizing my stress of motherhood while acknowledging the “real” stress of my then-husband’s career that stress is stress. It was a kind and freeing statement. Hope you get some freeing rest. ♥️
Yes, I'm really embracing the both/and these days! I love that statement—it is very freeing (and validating) to recognize that all stress/trauma/pain takes a toll, even if it doesn't seem as bad as what someone else is going through. Thanks for your comment—and yep, I will definitely be prioritizing rest this coming week!
Yes! I think the older we get the more we understand that resting is actually work and that it requires the same amount of dedication and attention.
